View Full Version : Casting CD/DVD
Has anyone got a casting CD or DVD they would like to sell? I want to get some idea of techniques before I have my lessons!
Please PM me if you have.
Thanks in advance.

I made several videos in the 1990s...for sea angling there was simple surfcasting parts 1 and 2, and I did a presentation for carp anglers, called long range carping, a few thought it was a method of sending a complaint (!), in fact it is probably the best instructional video (now DVD) on casting methods that there has been produced so far. (Sorry sea angler, look for yourself!)Find it on Google by typing in the title, it is cheap as chips, and no I don't make any money from it (pity!)

I hear that the John Holden dvd is good.

KeithN I tried to go the same route that you appear to want to go .For me it did'nt work.I would suggest to you get some coaching first then buy your video or DVD.Once you have had some instruction you will then find that what you are watching will make a lot more sense.I spent a lot time watching a John Holden video plus even more time practicing.I did'nt get very far.Since then I have been coached once by Phil Hyde, learnt more in a few hour's than I did in a few year's.The video/DVD are good but get your self some coaching first then it all start's to fall into place.Good Luck Steve Parker.
Cheers Steve.
I agree with what you're saying. I just wanted to try and understand the basic principles before I have some lessons and wondered if there were any second hand CD/DVD's that may be surplus to requirements.
I'll definately be having lessons though.
Many thanks.
