good old fashioned pen and paper mate, laptops too delicate for fishy hands, rain and sand. write it all down in my magic book, and then when some1 clever put a league table up in this forum, i will update it after evry match :)

I knew where freshwater east was but not the carpark that SBM was on about, being ex military I prefer good old paper maps by ordnance survey and grid references. so if any one can help this poor old ex bootneck that would be great? By the way would anyone object if a non forum member came along? (he has not got a computer)

Lads I have just sorted out the catch recording sheet with my son (who lives in Finland) who is a bit of a whizz on computers.If some one posts the fully up to date rule sheet he says that it can be sorted out so they can be printed on the back of my sheet. I am willing to get some card and get them printed. He is also working on a league table (spread sheet type format) that he would be able to update and post on the forum so we can all see how we are doing. If you want me to sort this out let me know.Cheers for the tip about the carpark Rhys but one of the other lads posted the grid reference and i have it sorted. There are a couple of points i would like to clear up but I will talk to you about them when we see each other next week. Anyway as I.ve never fished Fresh water east before what can we hope to catch, what tactics and what bait?

The way this reads is that the winner of each match would get 8 points in total. Breakdown as follows; 5 for 1st place , 2 for not blanking,1 for turning up. Is this a correct interpretation. Sorry to be pickey but I think this should be clear to everyone before the league starts.:g:

the next one in march is at llanstephan, and i would like to have the one after that further east again, as yet its not planned, but feel free to suggest venues your way that would be good on the last sunday in april, any good smoothie marks?

NINE MEMBERS OF THE FORUM TURNED UP TO FISH. WEATHER WAS VERY GOOD! AT LEAST IT DIDN'T RAIN. fishing started at 1700 and as predicted no fish showed until it started getting dark. I think most people fished 3 hook rigs with a choice of fish baits on offer. I don't think Wolfie had much joy with his raw tiger prawns but his local knowledge paid off and the dogfish liked his sandeels! majority of the fish caught and measured were dogfish 11 in total and whiting 6 although a lot of undersize fish were caught and returned with out beeing measured. I had a veeeeeeery small Turbot( new species for me) SBM has all the detailed results so I will just publish the bare facts.

Congratulations to Wolfie, Codking and Rock Hopper. :notworthy Bit of a dissapointing night for Congaqueen and myself but we enjoyed the fishing and having never fished there before enjoyed the venue. Its was one of them nights where everyone around us was catching and we were not. Look forward to the next match in march.

yeah was very enjoyable, nice to meet everyone in person, trading info etc. and the added bonus of winning lol, never give in attitude used for once last half an hour doggie and a decent whiting on the last two casts.....didnt think i could do it!!
