hi guys and gals,myself and rockling are in the process of booking 4 days fishing this summer,the trip wil probably consist of 1 days general and tope which we boated nearly 50 in 1 afternoon last year then 2 days blue fishing and another general,we did it last year with 5 of us and we fished in comfort the price works out at 280,each for the boat for the 4 days,plus 20ish for a room plus food.last year we had a brilliant time so this year were looking for 3 more to come with us,if u r interested please pm either rockling or me with any questions.believe me youll love it:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

curious as to what rod your ment to use tho?? is a spinning rod alrite for the blues and can they be provided ? hehe
although i have a rod here wich i am sure was to catch jaws, about 120lb line straight through, million yards of it

hi salmon garry used a 50 50 but i used a 30 30 and it was fine also an abu 7000 pro rocket with 50 braid on the 2nd day and it handled em fine after all we are there for the sport and you dont want a broom handle to haul em in, go light and enjoy the fight,hey thats a good signiture ill use that,and get some muscles in those scrawny little arms

I was talking to clive in garry evans today and he said that one of the guys uses an uptider for them!! Aslong as the reel is upto the job you can go light:)

i may take my daiwa megaforce and a 7ht, which should be upto the job :lmao:

on a serious note i dont kno what all this 30.30 and 50.50 ****e means but i have a 30lb class boat rod with weird looking eyes which looks more than upto the job, will have to purchase a reel before them.
i have also ordered some steroids for the occasion hehe

come to my class on your days off dan and you wont need steriods i will get you throwing a few 9 inch blocks around :) that will do the trick:)

Hi lads, wish you all the best with your four day shark fishing trip this summer, I can't wait to get out sharking again this year, full of enthusiasm, spoke to the skipper last week and his plan is we will trying out some of new marks up to 50 miles offshore in even deeper water

If your trip goes well, you'll need as much sleep as you can get, penalty for snoring is mashing mackeral duties !

Unless we get some settled weather during august i wouldnt count on that being on either mate:yucky: If theres no shoals of bait fish around the sharks wont be around either, and there hasnt been any great numbers of macky around ue to the fact that the weather has been so ****ty and dispersed them all:uhuh: Hope the weather changes for you mate:unsure:

Its been a funny summer, more like winter than summer!! We havent had any high pressure over us for more than 10 weeks, no big shoals of bait fish so obviously no predators chasing them:yucky: They are all still down in the bay of biscay getting sun tans:clap2:

and yet people have been doing well on the bass!...that must be because,they are here,,and there food isnt..so catching them has been easier!??

The bass will be feeding on the sandeel which should be in abundance due to the lack of mackeral predating on them. But obviously if a fresh macky comes there way they will gobble it up, its like us having beans on toast for a week and then having the chance to have a serloin steak:blink:

But with the weather being so bad the last couple of months there havent been any big shoals of macky about so the bigger predators,i.e tope, blue shark, porbeagles, just havent arrived:yucky:

I agree we need a couple of weeks of high pressure to settle things down and then the mackeral should start shoaling again. Also the sunshine should bring on the Garfish which are a particular delicacy of the Blues. We were out 10 days ago and I think we saw more Dolphins than Mackeral..... hundreds and hundreds of them so what they are doing to the food fish G** only knows. We had one hard earned Blue that day and if WW3 isn't getting them either then they just can't be there at the moment.
