Hello again Guys,
A wee bit of help needed here.
Does anyone deal with AMMO BAITS, past or present ? If so, how have you found the service?
I have emailed them twice with requests for information. So far there has been no response ?????????
This seems quite strange from a company with such a pedigree :g:
Any help would be appreciated,
Cheers,
CLABYDOO. :)
dont know if this helps but the shop i buy from has to order massive amounts of bait before they get the stuff to him

Cheers Floatfisher,
I'll have a look at that mate :)
how much is the minimum order? and what are the prices like compared to the shops?
i would go for ammo everytime now. i used to think you just paid for the name, but the bait is so good i won't use anything else now. squid the only exception.

With auction sites for tackle and buying bait from wholesalers, there won't be any tackle shops left in 10yrs. Not that I can blame anyone, I'm just as guilty. In the end its all about money.
I visited Ammo's place in St Ives once whilst holidaying there to try and get some live eels. They went out of their way to be helpful; gave me a poly box with sea water and ice to keep them alive and didn't charge more than a quid or two for the eels. Impressive service.

Strange thing with Ammo eels , all the locally tackle shops struggle to get any in the spring , but drive 200 miles away up country and their supply is uninterrupted , strange?

That's interesting, I too was in St Ives on holiday about two years ago. Thought, no problem, home of AMMO, won't be short of bait ............. big time wrong! Tried numerous tackle shops around the coastal towns, only to be told " we don't stock AMMO cos it's too expensive and nobody will buy it". Probably just as well in some cases, as I'm sure the next ice age growing out of the top of a domestic freezer is not what AMMO intended for their products.
Never mind, several wasted visits. Phone AMMO direct, explained the situation ................................. " We don't deal direct with the public " here is a nice list of places you should get what you are looking for. Go back to the first paragraph and repeat.
Needles to say I won't be wasting my precious holiday time or money in that vicinity again.
CLABYDOO.
Newtown Angling Centre and West Cornwall Angling, Penzance are the two nearest proper tackle shops to St. Ives (i.e. not touristy bits n bobs sellers). Both of these always have well stocked Ammo sandeel freezers. So I am not sure where you were looking?!!
I have used baits direct a few times, there order is always on time they call to confirm a delivery day and time and the bait is well wrapped and still frozen solid and that`s coming all the way North to Aberdeen,
Has anyone got peelers in yet ?
