i freeze them in the shell and wrap them (similar to blacks) in kitchen foil.
this way they keep their moisture no matter how many times you freeze them.

great bass bait , to freeze them , just throw about 6 into a re-sealable bag , whole in the shells . if you have a load of them , then about 5 - 6 a bag , then i usually take 2 bags a session , no point wasting bait . i thread one a pennell rig then push 4 -5 lugworm under , thus pushing the razor and nipping in the top hook , elastic is optional .
hope it helps :)

Hello fella's,
Just thougth I would chip in to say that I think razorfish are under rated as bait.
I have used them extensively this year so far and have found them to be very effective, used on there own or in a cocktail. I have also found that they are somehow selective, by this I mean they seem to attract better quality fish. My theory is the competition between the fish for food is faught harder by the larger fish when the razor is present. Like I said, it is only a theory, but maybe this disscusion will help to subsume or negate that theory?:g:

I like razors for cod when there are plenty present (both razors and hopefully cod). at times they can outfish peeler and lug when the seas are heavy and the razors are disloged naturally and the fish will be actively searching for them. You will also catch a lot of dab and Flounder if you use the razor foot for bait, either by itself or with old black lug. Again have heard they are a very good bass bait, especially when fishing over the razor clam beds and lugworm beds.
