Drop Net

If I try to use my dropnet to catch hermit crabs etc ,unless the tides at a standstill
it ends up sking behind the boat.Could anyone suggest another way to catch crab or should I just add a brick to my net?

just try a few lobby pots m8t, think they would b much better than a dropnet
from a boat. normaly just use dropnets 4 the hermits down the sides of piers
or harbour walls.
u can normaly find them in the harbours where the pot lads tie up, where they just chuck them overboard. go down low water & walk around the boats at night
with a head lamp & they r just around 2-3ft out from the waters edge, but dont
just jump in both feet take it easy because they can move fast in the water m8t.

you need some weight in the net mate, if you can weight the rim with lead strips aswell then even better.
