View Full Version : Dymani Hobbs point Charters 10/6/07 (Fully Booked)
I got some dates for fishing on Dymani out of Hobbs point(pembroke) for the summer..
This one is the 10th june(Sunday)
We will be going out around the Islands/Turbot bank/etc..after Pollock/coalies/codling/wrasse/bass/Mackeral/gurnard and what ever else turns up
Will need a variety of Hokkais/Feathers/Tinsel/pirks etc...Plus some rag if you want to bait up your rigs..(I didnt bother last year and has some Cracking fishing!)..
Price is £28pp..with usually £2 for Most Species caught/or biggest fish
There is no spaces available.

everyone these trips are top notch great fun. every trip we had last year produced loads of fish and species ,

made sum of my special traces up last nite.... they consist of jellyworms, gills, and shads..... never fail for the bigger fish when the tide is running hard!!!!!

I took advise from the met office last week, they forecast heavy rain Sat night to mid day Sun, so I backed off fishing the pier meet. BBC said the same.
Had I taken my advise from metcheck who said dry until late Sun afternoon I would have fished the meet.
Any way I like metcheck's better than yours so I'm sticking with them :)
Just to be on the safe side I'll bring me wet gear, that'll stop it raining :clap2:

__________________This is obviously some obscure Welsh sea fishing tradition that I have not come across before. I know that the welsh have some pretty strange traditions and the history behind many of them are lost in the mists of time, but I would be gratefull if someone could explain the above as I do not want to embarass myself on sunday? I have thought long and hard about this and can only wonder. How does marcus know he is going to catch a rockling in the first place and why "scotch eggs" beating them with a leek or a limp daffodil would seem more welshy or even cooking them in a pan with boiled sea weed, I could understand ! Please help this confused Englishman ?:uhuh:

I know Marcus is taking "scotch eggs" to catch rockling with( How do you keep them on the hook?) I sany one else taking proper bait like worms etc? I do make a rather nice scotch egg myself and at a push I could make some in time for sunday? Apart from rockling are they any good as bait for any other type of fish? I normally add some garlic and spring onion to the sausage meat and then give them a double coat of breadcrumbs to make them really crispy! If anyone can give me tips on what baits to use I would be really pleased as I think I will need all the help I can get to overcome the fact that Paid4( Burry Port was Pwwp) will be on the boat:secret::icecream::bangin::help:
ASk paid4 about scotch eggs...
Im not taking any bait..we catch mackeral if you want to bait up your feathers..,,
Hopefully we will be catching some launce to have an hours freelining for bass...

its very calm in burry port. I don't know what swansea your mate is on about but I've jusk checked the BBc weather site and the wind is only 5mph?????????????????????????

We will be drifting for 80% of the day...if we get some launce or joeys..we might freeline for some bass..but we wont be anchoring up anywhere..

the sea state is beautiful..
1ft swells in 8 second intivals...very very slight breeze..and baking hot!..

End of the day..You didn't turn up!..everyone else paid £30..Why should you be any different?..People go out of there way to pick you up and include you in these trips..and you let them down!,im sure you didnt mean too..but such is life!..just pay what you owe and we'll draw a curtain over it!..

The owner of the boat doesnt lose £28..i do!..i book the trips,,i have to pay the fee!..if you dont pay(which im sure you will)i still have to pay the set fee for the hire of the boat!
You did let me down,Because now i have to go through to effort of coming to your house,or meeting you..to get the money,and for putting me in the position of oweing sombody money..which is somthing i dont like doing!
Ive taken you off any other trips you were scheduled for..as requested!
