The Challenge
The Glasgow/naples challenge.

Dont have the budget for the great Paris / Dakar Rally. The Glasgow / Naples Challenge has a few rules that will help to ensure that team budgets do not run too much a risk of financial peril.
The Challenge is to simply drive the route from Glasgow to naples and back again (on a limited budget) with the principle aim of helping a Charitable causes of your choice.
Unofficially spoken of as 'The Ultimate Banger Challenge', a motley collection of cars costing less than £200 will be assembled to drive over 3,000 miles from the centre of glasgow to the centre of naples in italy ( and back again) On this run, the unloved Russian LADA car or old volkswagens are the ultimate choice of vehicle. Cheap, simple and tough
This is the first challenge of its kind in scotland and once the team is assembled it should be ready to leave glasgow around january 2008.
If all goes well for the team ,
they should complete the challenge
within 12 days of their departure
