Hi,

Just got back from a great trip fishing on the East arm of the Marina in Brighton. Lovely night subtle wind and very warm. Started without any catches as was the case with most other people, but as the sun got lower in the sky and the tide drew in the Mackeral came in thier hundreds (Literally).. We still had yet to catch when 2 Japanese guys with some serious kit rocked up alongside us, feathered 6 feathers and caught full houses on the first 4 casts .. That's 24 Mackeral in less than 10 minutes . . Pretty mental. Then at last whilst we were wondering what we were doing wrong, - they slammed onto ours too. Using my brand new super light Carp rod was a whole lot of fun i can tell you.. 40 Mackeral and a Pollack later it was pitch black (9pm) and time to head home.. A great day had - Pity the Mackeral are gonna be gone soon..

Looking forward to some good Bass fishing over the coming months .. Does anyone have any good tips as to where to go within a 15 mile radius of Brighton? and how to keep the live baits live (Shrimp)

Hi,

It is £2.50 per rod to fish there and cheaper after 6pm, large free parking (asda + others) and the tackle box for all bait and tackle..
