View Full Version : Cefn Sidan carpark
Started this so it doesn't get lost in any of the other threads.
Take junction 48 off the M4 and head up the hill towards Llanelli (beware of the speed camera at the top of the hill, 40mph limit). Follow the brown signs for Pembrey Country park/Motor sport centre. This will take you on the ring road around Llanelli, which is a bit more scenic than the direct route;) keep following the signs through Pwll and Burry Port (which is pwp;)). Again beware speed cameras, there are a few along there, 30 limit keep on this road for a good 4-5 miles. When you pass a church on the left the entrance is a couple of hundred yards ahead again on the left. It looks like you're entering a housing estate but it is the right way - follow the road up and over the railway bridge, it's quite narrow so watch for oncoming traffic. Head down the dead straight road in front of you, where it bends to the right there is a carpark on the left next to a Soccer field - that's where we're meeting:clap2:

i myself and this is a personal choice would fish the last 2 hrs out if not 2 at least get the last hr of the tide as it goes out but that is my opinion on this based on many hrs of trial and error and i get the best results on the times i have just mentioned.but i will go along with the majority it's only a suggestion that's all.tightlines andy ilsf..

There are way too many threads on this as posted above, so if no-one objects, I'll remove them, sticky this one, and any last minute arrangements and fine tuning can be added to this one. In the interests of keeping it all informative I'd appreciate it if you kept this one free from banter, people will be able to gain the information without trawling through pages of stuff then. :)

Well done ROB. re start times I have only reproduced what the organisers posted earlier. I don't think these should be changed as we have to bear in mind the guys travelling from England and other parts of Wales. If any one is having problems with bait ring COUNTRY STORES in Gowerton to order it and if you want leave my name ROGER JAMES to collect it I will pay and collect and then you can pay me when we meet. Make sure you send me a PM to let me know. I am off to Finland Tomorrow and will be back next Thursday. I will have access to the forum whilst I'm away. Please get intouch if I can help out.

So is the winner based on longest single fish or longest length of total fish caught and is the team event based on one of these methods as well.:g:

I'd say easiest is total length. You might want to bring your beancounting gear-there was a match there last week in which 50 anglers caught over a thousand fish and all were put back:)

Sorry for the shotgun mods but all should read this.
Insurance will be £55 about a £ each if everyone turns up, I'll pay if I think there's a chance of getting my money back - suggest £2 each - any remainder goes to the RNLI

cant be fairer that that peeps you have been told..tightlines andy ilsf..
Bloody typical, nothing to do all week and I've just been called out to do an upgrade. Unlikely I'll be done in time to make it for tomorrow. At least it'll improve Englands chances of winning! More than happy to pay my share of the insurance if you let me know who to send it to. Hope you all have a great time and the English get a bit of revenge for last times whitewash. Try turning rockling round 180 degrees and we might have a chance.
Miserable and fed up

I'm going to be in the carpark at about 0920 - I've got to pick bait up - I'll also be armed with a cover note so we should be OK for access;)
