Hi All this is my first thread...good site. The reason for my post is that i am mainly a boat angler (i go with a charter from canvey island and fish the thames) problem is i want to get back into shore fishing ...ive been a number of times now during the summer in search of bass but have only had very small bass and only a half a dozen or so... with that in mind i went back to try and get a few of the huge flounders that i used to catch as a kid and couldnt even manage ANY of those!! ive tried all the standard stuff crab rag and lug but nothing..been using standard shore rigs tried long flowing traces,patenosters.... doing well on the boats but cant master the beaches can anyone help!!!!!
cheers scott. :(

Hi, The river is full of fish, not as many flounders as years ago but many more bass & soles
This year we have caught bass to 10lb+, & lots of 2- 3lb fish. The fish are there in good numbers & have been caught from lots of beach marks.

Please send me private email & i will tell you some places to try.
