i used to tie a knot and cant remember how. i could tie my own feathers and enjoyed it.
i got the knot from an old sea angler mag but old age prefealed and cant remember it and having just payed 75p a pack of feathers being the tight git i am was after some help.

Hi,

One of the easiest knots to use for making feathered traces and one that is often used commercially is the water knot. It might be the one you mean. If you PM me I'll send you a scan of an old article in Sea Angler that demonstrates how to tie it.
