im thinking of going to dungie sat night all night . fishing for whiting as ive never fished for them b 4 could anyone tell me whats the best tactic and bait thanks :cool:

3 hook paternoster baited with anything really, but i find mackerel has produced most of the whiting for me, dungenness has not really been fishing well, i only go there in the winter and catch whiting after whiting, if they are there you will catch a few. i have heard that they are beginning to show, but it will be a few months before i am down that way again.

I have always found that Black Lug and Squid combination
was the best on a 3 hook boom rig.

ok had an enjoyable night when i finally got there . had 14 whiting only 6 were worth keeping the others a bit small .also had a nice flattie was lovely cooked while i was there fishing :) all fish took on just lug tried lug tipped with squid and lug tipped with mackerel but no luck . I will definately going back there again maybe in a few weeks but next time not alone hopefully the missus will come
