View Full Version : dungie all nighter
fatboy ere again, right the allnighter is set for the 12th november, me and codmaster will be getting there about 12 to get the area set up, weather permitting we will be doing a bbq, so really need to know the numbers of who's coming, Ian Houlton is coming with his wife Lisa from Somerset, so come on lets put a good one on and hopefully one to remember. it will be based on the road leading to the power station just opposite the couple of houses about 2/300yds from the power station gates ( more precise directions nearer the time), there are no loos so bring a bucket if needs be, so yet again hope to see plenty of you there
as it could be a good one, high tide is approx 8pm and on a fair tide as well, also we will be doing a collection for the family of Matt (Chesilmasters) friend who died in an unfortunate accident last week, look forward to hearing from you all
ps dont forget your tents :D
see "dungie all nighter maps" on this forum for more detailed info

Hi all
Good luck for the night.
I hope I'm not poking my nose in but here are a 3 local bait suppliers you may or may not want to try.
M & M Richardson
Battery Road
Dungeness
Romney Marsh
Kent

01797 320789
also
"www.dungenessfish.co.uk
Please phone to place and pay for an order or have lug put aside to be picked up.
01797 320789"
This is another of the Richardson family.
Also Seagul Tackle about 2 miles further up the road on the left towards Hythe - no other details for this one.
There is also a top supplier in Faversham
"GulliversFishing Tackle"
Digs his own.
Probably too far out of the way for most of you.
has Frozen Welsh Black Lug - damned expensive
Also Rag and ordinary lug' squid and peelers in season.
Also a mine of gool local infi.
and no I dont work for him..
If anyone is interested I will get his phone number.

Is any of you a member of the Dungeness SAC?
Even if you fish Dungie only occasionaly it will be the best £3.50 you have ever spent, especially if you dont like the walk to the point.
Having become a member ands ubject to availability and restrictions, you can borrow a key to the barrier on the Environmental Agencies private road.
Ask about membership at Richardsons or Seagull - see my post above.
If you do join I ask that you dont take the yellow water, clean up after yourselves (as if you wouldnt) and lock the gate behind you both in and out.

Hi Fatboy, Everybody, I'm relatively new to this forum and just recently got back into sea fishing since leaving the north east as a kid. I'm thinking about joining you for the all nighter but could do with knowing what the fishing's like, snaggy, clean, long cast needed, what bait is good, what's the likely catch etc.etc? If you can let me know these things I may well see you on the 12th. Thanks for your time mate.

hiya Gonefishin
Have you tried uploading it to here as an attachment to a post ? If not scroll down on the " reply to thread " page until you see the " manage attacments" button, click that, and use the browse button to fund and upload the picture,
Hope this make's sense, !
Be warned , there is a size limit on how big a picture you can attach , i'm not sure how big it is off hand, but if it's too big you get a warning message saying so !
If you don't have any luck mail it to me , and i'll sse if i can post it up here,

Many thanks for the help.
I hope this will be useful for the all nighter.
Depending on what time you gather and what hours the "fishing permit mamager" is working I would like to pop down for a couple of hours just to put faces to names.

Dammit! I'll be in Nottingham that weekend. Would have been nice to meet a few of you blokes.
Wouldn't be a bad idea if admin sorted out a jacket emroidered badge of some sort for posters here. Easier to recognise them on the beach.
I approached a guy who looked like bigfish on Admiralty pier saturday afternoon. I think the guy thought I was about to proposition him! And no, it wasn't bigfish.:ohnoes:
A bit embarrassing.

hi guys just checked and i have the evening off so would be up for joining the fun if thats all cool, only problem is i'm due to finish work at 4pm and so it will take me til about 5:30-6pm to get down to you guys, is there anyone who can sort bait out and be reembersed accordingly???? my numbers posted on another thread but for everyones benefit its 07984 147 254, anyone wishing to abuse that number.......feel free just leave a name at the end so i can abuse back, cheers!!!!
andy
again although i fish that area all the time for big eels from the gravel pits i've never made it down to the beach as i'm not sure where i should be going so i will try to follow down via the links...failing that someone could be expecting a phone call as my ability to get lost is legendary.......
