Hi, im off to Goa on the 28th of december, staying in baga. was going to take a travel spinning rod equipped with a small penn spinning reel loaded with 14lb braid and some of my lures (rapalas etc) was wondering if anyone has tried this method in Baga and what am i likely to catch?

Hi Liam
Um....the pecularities of the SEARCH engine on this forum sometimes defy belief. I knew that there'd been a number of previous posts about Goa but, when I checked, absolutely nothing came up. That is until I tried using 'India'. Alright that may, in turn, bring up a surfit of threads but at least I got all those for Goa.

This seemed to be the most comprehensive - http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23964&highlight=India, but there are a range of others which may all contain useful information. As well, should no one else reply, it might be worth PM-ing some of the posters to those threads direct. Not everyone is necessarily reading posts on the International forums regularly.
Dave
PS Thinking about it I suspect the SEARCH engine software that creates the meta-tags ignores words containing three or less letters. It's something though I'll check with ChrisP.

hey Harrison
I have often used lures in Baga, nothing worked till I go the timming right. now heres the score - get on to the rocks opp baga beach and just below the retreat house, they are huge rocks so u cant miss them. Now casting off these rocks gives u access to some deep water. The only effective time I caught hits at is between 6am - 8 am early morning, caught some GT and one broke my rod.
All the best
Dean
