going down to etive or leven for an overnighter this friday if any lads are in the area and see a bronze citroen stop by and have a chat
Im planning on heading up to Inveraray in the afternoon for some mackies & then on to Etive to set up tent & fish into the wee sma' hours, hoping to catch my 1st ever spurdog or Thornback.
Probably thinking about Windsock/Priory marks.
Any idea if theres any grassy areas at Windsock for the tent or would you need to pitch it on the shingle?
Only fished there once before & didnt stay long as it was blowing a gale, but hear its good for the spurs.

Al,
What time will you be there from?
I'm taking my son also, so hpefully your boys can keep him amused & leave me in peace to fish :)
aye , im taking my son and his friend , i usually send them for firewood and this keeps them going for a while , i always find that the kids are fascinated by fire dont mind spending hours looking for wood for it .
i should be there for around 5pm , not much pount in going too early as it fishes best when dark , although i have seen the odd one or two in daylight.
what time you going ?

I know what you mean about the fires! My lad is the same.
I'm planning on heading to Inveraray for an hour or 2 just after lunch time & then over to Etive for 4 or 5pm.
Do you park at the patch at the top of the ramp/slip?
i drive along the beach and park under the windsock , but if i take a normal car i would park at the patch at the top of the ramp
i will probably pass inverary tomorrow , if i see you on the peir i will stop off,
al
secondthaughts , i think im going to kinlochleven first and will head over the glencoe way , ill see you at the windsock around 5pm or thereabouts

It was good to meet you guys & put a face to the names.
Fishing was disappointing, but beats sitting in the house.
The wee fella was feeling the cold in the morning & moaning to get home, so we packed up the tent at 7am & headed home.
