Hi rottencod, been beach fishing/rock fishing in South Morocco 3 times in the last few years, normally use Mirleft(2 hours drive south of Agadir)as a base.5 surf beaches within walking distance of the hotel I stay in(Hotel Aberthi which is next door to the local tackle shop,Planette Peche, who can supply bait)and plenty of good but very dangerous rock marks, the locals reckon that about a dozen people get drowned falling of the rocks each year.
From the beach it is possible to catch bass, spotted bass, gilthead bream ,malbre, rays and other "surf"fish, from the rocks you can catch sars,a kind of sea bream and the chance of a big corbine, plugging and spinning is also possible from the lower rock marks providing that the swell isnt too big.For bait you can use Saharan rag worm ,squid, cuttlefish or sardines and October should be about the best time of the year to go,Google Mirleft and there are some good pictures of the area and of the possible fish you will catch. Also good fishing at Aglou ,between Mirleft and Agadir and plenty of other good beaches and rock marks further south in the Western Sahara right down to Dahkla(a few French sites dealing with fishing this area)Hope this helps,PM me if you want anymore info
