Hi Nypy
How is Benoit these days? I fished on Paille en Queue (Spelling) and the various others in his "Sportfisher" fleet several times back in the 90's.
Never had much luck, but always very pleasant people. It can be pretty choppy out off the North West of the island as your first photo shows.
If I remember rightly, "Christina" is the older boat in his fleet? She's a bit of a tub compared to the others, but a real gem to fish from.
It's a shame his crew are still bringing everything ashore, but it's the main way they top up their income and until Benoit pays them a proper wage!
Tom
Brilliant fish you have there. Looks like you went at the right time!
Lovely photos mate. Reminds me of not so far away youth when i used to live in Mauritius.

boat christina have chanced owner, new owner is frank adriaans from topshot , he have one bigger too, about 50ft, they are still in same harbour, side by side.
i'll think there is always little choppy out there, that time we was about 30 miles from shore, that photo was taken just after hurricane passed mauritius about 250-300 miles away.
i'll think it's normal way there, that crew get some extra money from fishes
, but frank is doing c&r too

thx Makubwa
nex time try to get little bigger ones, we had several in our lines, but lost them.
there is a competition in february and here from finland is going 4 teams there, most of them are first timers, but some allmost professionals too, so lets see how it goes
