Guy's im going to arrange a meet on Sat 24th of November @ Loch Fyne Aboard "Keltic Lady" Ardrishaig. I have already spoken to Kenny and Nikki the skippers and they have okay'd it and are going to put up at least one prize for the day. Species will mainly be Lsd's, Conger, Coalie's and Pollack with the chance of a Cod, Thornie, Late Wrasse and Mackerel. We need 10 for the boat and when i see who is interested in it i will confirm with you and arrange deposits.
So far we have 10 = Bmac, Peterthefisherman, TickettyBoo!, Ken-r, Birdseye, Spellbound, Kenyan, Adeys, theguyfulla and CongerConger.
Let me know if your interested, I have chosen this venue as it is a cracking boat and a good venue for beginners to learn and pick up tips.
**Can we put this as a sticky mod's ? ** :)

im deffo in
what type rod i got 20-30 class should do for there yeah

bmac
27-08-2007, 09:35
Adey a 12-20lb class is fine, It's gonna be mostly Lsd's, Pollack and sm stuff. Sadly you don't see many monster fish in Loch Fyne but you may get a Conger as there has been plenty taking Doggie baits to 15lb this year.

Ticketty Boo
27-08-2007, 09:36
12-20 would be ideal, but a 20-30 would be fine. Don't go any heavier though.

bmac

Just spoke to Skipper this morning, The outing is provisionally booked for Sat 24th of November. They are both away on holiday until next Monday so when they return they will confirm it and i can arrange deposits.

Imagine counting ann octopus as your fish species! I'm going to count brown crab, velvet swimmer crab, spider crab, bit of kelp, length of curtain material, those old traces at Minard, some jelly fish on my line and a bit of a starter motor from a ford anglia!

Peter, the ones Davy had, were thawed out for two days before we used them, (the majority went in the Dubby bag) although they were mush, I did manage to get tiny wee bits on tiny wee hooks, and got............................LOADS of TINY WEE fish !!!!!!!! :):) Seriously BTW...:):)

Guy's spoke to Nikki tonight about trip on Saturday, At the moment it is looking like 25mph SW winds if this is the case then the trip will be off  It only seems to be Saturday thats bad so there is a good chance it may be on if the weather comes forward at all. I will let you know by thurs pm as we should know for deffo by then, fingers crossed.
With Regards to the fishing Nikki said its been good. Plenty of Lsd's, Whiting, Pouting, Cod and when the water has been clear a fair few Pollack. If we get out it should be a good day.
