Colwyn Bay Victoria Sea Angling Club are holding their annual Victoria Open on Llandudno North Shore on Sunday 23rd September.

The match will be fished from 18-00 until 22-00 on a heaviest bag weight format.

The entry fee is £10 all in, with £5 all in for ladies and juniors.

There will be a 100% payout, with the prizes split as follows;

1st 30%
2nd 15%
3rd 10%

Zone prizes of 6% for first in each zone and 4% for second. The heaviest round and flatfish pools will be 5% and the ladies and juniors prizes will be 2.5% each.

Book in and zone draw on the night at the paddling pool from 16-00.

The beach will be split into 3 zones, and if you are fishing with friends, one of you is allowed to draw for the whole group, but you must state how many you are drawing for before you do so.

One angler one prize bar pool.

Fishing to club and A.S.A.C rules.

I will be there, was told off it weeks ago.....but can we just catch and release? not bothered about winning any prize.. would rather put the fish back.

Joe, there are no bait restrictions, and all fish over the minimum landing sizes are weighed at the end of the match.

littlemissmermaid, if you dont intend to keep your fish to be weighed, then i suggest you save yourself a fiver, as the places are decided on heaviest bag weight. :)

Mate you droppped a bollack in the way you put that, but yes, what is the point in paying for a comp if to all intent and purpose you are not entering it.

The idea of paying .. was to put towards the prize money. only wanted to fish for the sake of fishing.
