Do you mean this Saturday 22nd? High Tide is about 20.30 not Low Tide. I'd be up for a session maybe starting about 18.00. Looks like there may be slight break in the strong SW winds so this could be a good opportunity.

Probably cannot make it until 18.30 but I'll come and find you then. What will you be wearing?

Ha ha. That reminds me of the old fishing photos where a guy wearing a 3 piece suit and smoking a pipe is holding a fat bass caught off some rocks.

Whatever I wear, I'm hoping to cover in cod slime by about 10 p.m.

cant help but giggle at the what will you be wearing bit ( i know im immature). the answer is whatever you want me to mate, pm me for specfic requests, lol (still giggling)!

Maybe its a fancy dress code! im going as darth vader!

On the serious side, I am thinking of making an appearance (albeit not a fishing one but just to say hi) but it depends on transport so will have to see.

Hopefully make it soon after and hope little Coddies are still there. Good luck to those attending.

Dug some bait now so I'm defo in, will try to get there for 6:30. Is that the Martello tower up toward splash point? If I don't get there in time I'll be the bloke wearing a very ripe green fleece or orange coat. Got my 12th species of the week yesterday with a small gurnard, hoping for a sole, thorny or codling tonight.

Hi all, dont think i will be there tonight as slipped up the stairs and tweaked my already injured back today (hopefully not made it worse) plus the missus is out and there is no one to drive me there! to say im gutted is an understatement.

however, I am excited for the coming winter season and as i know im out of fishing til november i have decided to put my century beachcaster rods in for some needed tlc (ring repairs) and i have repaired and cleaned all my reels as i have had some spare time and im now raring to go. hopefully i wont miss out on all the cod but by the time i return to the beaches they will propbably be far north and i will be left with pin whiting.

anyway, good luck for tonight, let me know how you get on lads & tight lines

No it was awful. Tipper, TC & I fished from about 7-11.30 with HT @ 8.30. There was a plague of pout most of the night. We tried to avoid with whole squid, mackerel sides and live pout but no action. Small tide and calm conditions clearly did not help. Did get 1 nice size mackerel on the float at about 10.30 but they were not about at dusk for fresh bait.

Stilll optimistic about the coming spings though.

Nice to meet you guys, shame the fish forgot to show up. It was pretty impossible on worm baits though with the pout getting to everything before anything else had a chance. Finished up on 12 species for the week, will post up some pictures when I get a chance. Hope to see you next time I'm down.

Cheers
Paul
