im trying 2 sort out a winter cod meet down cardiff 4shore on the 14th october £2 entry fee which will go 2 a good charity of wsf choice and £3 4 the heaviest fish of the day so come on lads put ur names down it will be a laugh:clap2::clap2::clap2TIGHT LINES

i would love to see the charity chosen to be the rhondda diabetic childrens charity as i always wanted to give something back to a great cause.take it from me a verry worth wile cause especialy to thoes who are concerned.
until someone verry close to me was effected with diabeties i was verry ignorant on the condition .so come on folks help these kids out.
ps getting to old to even think about jumping out of planes. tight lines roamer and nathan.

Sorry buddy I would love to come down but I think like myself a lot of forum members are club fishermen and have club matches on a Sunday but all the best and if you organise another meet try and make it a Saturday or a weekday evening match and for sure I will support it and I suspect so will a lot of other match anglers.
One minor point mate have you checked to make sure there are no opens down there on the 14th oct . Very popular venue for opens in oct and nov

Im up for it, should be fishing quite well by then, went down there on sat the 1st sep, had 8 between 1.5 n 2.5lb, went the following w'end and blanked, go figure.

You could always fish the birds though. They wont be fishing over there, and you will set get a few fish:unsure:

Just over from the foreshore, up by the water treatment place. It can fish o.k when the fish are about but fishes better on the bigger tides.

aint fished the birds for a year or 2 now....had a few codling down there but no size to 'em.....some very big whiting on bigger tides though
Hi all ive checked with my m8 and he fishes 4 a club in cardiff and he said theres no comp down the 4 shore he knows of the only 1 that day is at barry knap+porthkerry and that is the seamasters final and open.which tide would u all rather evening or early morn please let me know.TIGHT LINES

According to the match dates in the mag that comp is down the foreshore. I will ring the number later and see if its there or down barry. I would prefer to fish the evening tide mate:)

right then lads it the evening tide then high water is 21.32hrs if we all meet up at 17.00hrs by the factorys, by the time we sort every thing out well be fishing by 18.30hrs and finishing at 23.30hrs is that allright with every1 see u all there.TIGHT LINES

Road numbers etc so I can find it on local.live com or an actual post coded address within a hundred metres ( No Marcus not that postcode in the outer Hebrides )

check the aerial satelite pics on local live and there's no factory units there (older maps) but you gotta park on rover way and walk down foreshore road then the 1st road on the left.....follow it to the end and walk behind the units

come off the M4 at j30, take pontprennau turn off on the roundabout, straight down the hill, over the roundabout, get in right hand lane, take second left on the next roundabout onto dual carriageway, take turnoff for the docks,signposted docks, first left on roundabout-dedicated lane, road is two lanes, stay in the right hand lane and go over the flyover, 2nd left next roundabout, always following docks signs, you'll see tescos on your right, straight over the next small roundabout.you'll then pass the pikey camp on your left, the western mail print place on your right, when you go up the small hill to the last roundabout take first left, again signed the docks and you'll see the heliport/docks entrance right in front of you. park anywhere here this is rover way on your maps, . first left on this road is foreshore rd , take the first left again, follow the road around and you'll see sheffield. walk towards the grass bank and you'll see the path round the side of the unit. a walk right, go all the way down to the sea wall, the last bank before you hit the wall is cod's corner.
walk back through the docks its much easier. up onto longships rd, follow the road, you'll get to a roundabout go right here and it'll bring back out to where your car is parked.
could a Mod cut and paste these into the rumney foreshore article on the south wales marks section on the left, the directions in there are GASH.

I looked in there. There was a surfmaster match put down for that day,which is know apparently down porthkerry-knap area. When i rang the phone number they gave to book in the girl on the other side didnt know what i was talking about???

Yea there is, usually fish it 4hrs down so long as your the wall side of the white pipe, your in mud but iv often found thats when it starts to fish, from about 2-2.5hrs back !

hi m8 we will be fishing 2hrs down finishing @23.30hrs and starting at 19.00hrs but we r all meeting at 17.00hrs 2 sort out everything money,etc.TIGHT LINES
tinker whats the rules haviest fish biggest coddling longgest fish one rod or two . longest fish would be good so we can catch and releas if we wanted. dont think every body has scales but should have a tape. what you recon.i have a verry strechy tape lol. my willy is 2ft long.

Went into Ewenny angling earlier,was told that a fella fished there this morning,had 5 codling out!!..so its looking good!

In some places it is in others its mixed but a decent cast should see you on mud/mixed broken. My usual down there is a pulley rig.

Its going ot remain dull and overcast all day,with the chance of light drizzle possible...very light southerly winds(more like an angels breath!)..Conditions could hardly be better!!..
Lets hope the fish are hungry and in the mood to Party!!

as regards the ground, if you get down as far as cods corner or the sea wall, you won't lose any gear, if you fish near the monkey pole (you'll know it when you see it) kiss goodbye to whatever you throw out cos you won't see it again until low tide!
