remove paint off fiberglass

The previous owner of my boat painted over an old name on the boat !!! How can I remove the paint & old name without damaging the gel / fiberglass coat of the boat ?

when i had my boat i used a weak paint stripper,i was told not to leave it on long just take the paint of literally one coat at a time, when finished make sure you wash the area well with soap+water .hope this helps.

before you try it yourself phone a few boat builders or repairers they do this sort of thing regularly beats making a mistake
