Hi all just wondering if we have any deffo numbers yet for teh teams as there seems to be many threads going on about deal so i thought id make this one to see who is a deffo and who aint and ifits still a southeast V sothcoast meet or are we all splitting if numbers are low.
also where we all meeting peeps

just seen the wind forcast for the rest of the week and the wind is getting stronger , up to 13mph at times .

Hi all, sorry but i doubt i'll be able to make it, due to a nasty accident involving some thick wire and my right eye! if i am given the ok to drive i'll be there, if not good luck to all and i'll look forward to the reports! :schmoll:

Thanks Bill, they have put me on some new medication and if the early signs continue, it will be worth missing one meet, the improvement in my skin is very noticable after just one week:yeah:
Maybe able to fish all nighters soon:clap2:

Sorry lads but Flatty and I are pulling out of this as well.
Flatty forgot about it and as the South Coast turn out is so dire it doesn’t seem worth the near 4 hour’s travelling.
I doubt you will need our scores on the sheet anyway :secret:
The South Coast turn out may be small but what we lack in numbers we'll make up for in fish!

Yes, and will the forecast easterly throw some useful surf up on that coast? Or am I being ridiculously optimistic?

just looked on the beeb and they say 2mph south east,which will be in yer face down there.not the most reliable weather site though.i'll have a look elsewhere.....dave.

Is an easterly no good for Deal then? I know eastlerly's are usually crap for fishing but as Deal is facing east i was hopeing that it would cause some surf.

sorry jason but east wind kill's the fishing in kent.i hope i'm prooved wrong but as i've said before on here somewhere,i've almost got to the stage where i won't bother in an east wind.might be ok as it'll be light but i dought it somehow.sorry to put a downer on it!i'm sure it'll be a good meet whatever the weather.....dave.:)

i could do the same but mine got the ron treatment.don't think people will fall for it!!!!
i'm hoping that that the easterly holds a bit of colour in the water. if so we should see some whiting pout and codling.
if it goes clear it'll be a struggle.
best baits would be yellows and fish, and whites. i'll be on frozen blacks, commons and fish as i can't enough yellows or whites for the weekend. backs killing me know from double tiding all week.

Had a boat full of codling up to 7lb today off Walmer castle, 25 to 30 fish. lots of whiting, pout & dogs aswell of course. Only 1/4 mile off the beach. colour should hold cos the tides are big enough.

If thats the case then the fishing should be great. Due to recent problems im not going to go into the "im going to win it" stuff but I really hope one of us gets a fish of a lifetime. I don't care who, but it would be nice to see somebody be happy this weekend.

using lengh in a points system .
I will give everybody a points to length list so you only need to measure your fish then you get the points for each species and add them all together at the end .
this enables those who want to catch and release can do so.

Well, I was, but something went horribly wrong and all of Mesito n me's whites are deceased. Not really sure why, and havent told Steve yet, so if I turn up bruised in a few hours, you know why.......:(
