gripper leads are up your own choice
i use a 5oz plain lead as those bloody crabs can strip your hooks in seconds like fri night.
bring some smallish hooks
would love to make this but im working that weekend dam
ah well, if no one from my area is going and wanting to share costs , looks like ill have to give it a miss , too expensive to go on my own if only for a few hours.
ill play it by ear and see what happens.

bellboyabod said earlier he can carshare with you on page 2
i have spoken to him via pm and im not too sure ifhe is still going , i might still come on my tod , thinking of taking the wifes car , it a wee diesel and good on fuel , well its better than my 25mpg jeep.
what time will you be there , also youl need to send me directions to the place or even a postcode etc for the satnav.

Good luck on the digging, Bob! I stopped off at the Anglers Choice shop in Dundee on my way back from Arbroath the other day and picked up some frozen black lug and razor.

Oh? That doesn't sound good! I've got frozen mackie, squid, sandeel and some salted rag as well, so hopefully that'll balance out the lug if its as bad as you reckon.
It's shaping up a nice morning over here in the Central Belt and the weather reports looks good for Dundee. I'm looking forward to getting out!
iv just put my gear in the car , gonna have some brekkie and leave after 9, see yous there later

Lug digging's done, quite easy going today as the big sea from yesterday had scooped a couple of inches off the muddy top of the sand today. 'Bout 100 small lug, some mackie from the summer and a couple of salted herring which I'm going to give a go.Fire up the bacon and eggs now and then get organised.Very much looking forwrad to it. (better have another look at Sultzer's map an all.If anyone sees a winey coloured escort driving back and forit looking confued, geez a wave will ye)

I think you just turn right at the Tesco roundabout and park in one of the lay-by parking areas on the river side - is that right, folks?
