Just been speaking to Rob and I am up for a couple of sessions over there next year. The boat fishes ten but as Rob said a smaller crew of eight is better suited.

I am looking for one 5 day session peak flatty season and one five day session peak bass and general fishing.

I have not fixed any dates as yet this is just a feeler to see what the interest will be. I can PM cost details based on eight for the five days.

This is a good insight for the Island http://www.alderney.gov.gg/

Ken one day trips at the moment, things may be different healthwise by next summer!Put me down for the cod and bass trips, but remember there are suspicions about a certain JONAH like character from Nottage! It's a long way to go for another poor trip!

Thanks

Right it looks like one day trips are goers so I have just asked for some dates during peak periods for cod and bass.

Done the same for the Alderney trips as between WSF and AN I am sure I can fill a couple of trips.

As soon as I have dates I will put them up.

What I just been through was bl**dy painful and not to be recommended, but the sunny side is at long last I am a free agent and I intend to make the most of it.:fishing1:

Just some info on the Alderney trips. I have been twice and think it is vastly overrated. With so many boats from this side of the channel hitting Alderney the fishing can be hit and miss.

Spent three days on the turbot and as soon as they hit the banks the trawlers are in there. Black bream fishing can be good. The local trawlers seem to take the tope as well.

Plenty of the usual over the wrecks mid channel on the way over and on the way back.

For the bass live sandeel is a must. Although what was caught was nothing spectacular.

I can recommend the Townhouse in Alderney as a place to stay.

I cannot remember all the species caught, flat fish was brill, turbot and plaice, two days spent bassing produced a good number of fish between 3lb and 8lb plus being the biggest, not big but lots of good sport. A short time was spent on bream but we were there very early in the season for bream. Mid channel marks there and back produced cod & pollock to double figures.

Almost forgot one of the lads caught the biggest red gurnard I have ever seen and before anyone could say weigh it, it was tossed back.

Depends where you go, the hotest spot is off the Needles with RobT on ShowGun, if you had six up for it types £300 per head for five days plus digs for four or five nights.

Might be able to do a deal for three mid week days and get it down to £150 per head. Bare in mind six is half crew because it is licenced for twelve but if you want to fish the cream way six is the max.

Hey guys sorry to revive an old thread but am just wondering if there are still any plans for these channel islands trips?
Having just returned from Jersey fishing and going back in September I have definately got the bug for it!!!
Would love to get over there for the tubrot / brill in April / May or the Blonde Rays in September or anytime for the tope!! Infact any excuse to just get back over there and continue to smash my 15yr PB records would be greatly appreciated!!!
I am very interested in going from the south coast or simply chartering one of the local boats..
Even more appealing is a fishing safari - an armada of WSF cars going over on the fast ferry filled to the brim with fishing tackle and then a week long shore and boat species hunt would be excellent!!!

This sounds really good and if I win the euro millions £92,000,000 this friday I will take all my mates from WSF on a freebie!

I am just waiting to see if my ticker can be retimed  once sorted I will be up for it, probably cost around a £1000 give or take a penny or two but certainly worth every penny, that would be boat, digs and food/beer.

Missed out this year hoping to make up for next year.
