If anyone is stuck for somewhere to take the kids over half term. Herm has some selfcatering huts still available (saw advert in the paper)...
The Island has no cars (just tractors), two pubs and two restaurants and you can walk right around it in 45 mins. The plus factor for fishy people is that you can get rather large black bream from the shore at the moment with a good chance of large bass and the usual channel island catches!! plus the kids can run around like idiots and you don't have to worry about them! I used to love it every spring break camping there with the family.
