Looking at weather forecast its going to blowing like **** on sunday and monday so there should actually be some fish there :fishing1:

East Preston have a match the same night so they can enjoy hauling all the weed in :nerd:

England are playing Croatia as well but England will be out so not worth worrying about. :thumbdown

For those who are thinking of fishing but cant be @rsed you can send your £10 entry fee to The Happyshopkeeper , Prime Angling, Worthing, as this will save you having to fish but will keep his pension fund ticking over. :thumbs:

what d'ya reckon will be around then, baz had 2 flounder and a ling last time i saw him today, some kid thought he lost a channel apart from that it was pretty quiet

If its as windy as they forecast there should be some doggies, maybe odd whiting and codling. Some one could probably fluke a good bass this week on the pier if they fish for one ..... :fishing:

Any body is welcome to fish. If you want to fish the match, be on the pier near the nightclub at around 6pm ish. £10 to enter. Depending on numbers of people in the competition there are usually payouts of 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, heaviest round fish and heaviest flatfish. Fish have to be sizable and looked after in a big bucket of sea water.

No overhead casting on top deck of the pier and dont leave rubbish or sea weed on the deck are the main rules.

If you pop into or ring Prime Angling they will be able to tell you everything you need to know about the comps .....

out of seven fishing today there was apparently only one rockling to be had :sad: sounds like it will be a tough night and it will be clucking freezing:cold:

there was a good sized flounder caught on the end next to baz, jamie ad a schoolie, i had a ling and missed a bite. thing is virtually everyone left once it started raining an hour before high tide so only richard and pete have fished it over the top of the tide so there may be fish there ?

I will be there. Dont know what Pete & Richard had because we left just as they were starting. They had loadsa rods so should have caught something ?

Heard another cod (5-6 pounder) was lost... a drop net is desperately needed I think, as the pier is producing some good size fish when the conditions are right.

Ray believes you had the biggest flounder of the match and he believes he forgot to pay you for it and will ask him when he nexts comes into the shop and correct it

They've got a club drop net but the problem is where to keep it as one of the other ones got thrown away and we had a net knicked when it was chained on the roof of the Nightclub.

iam going to buy one for all to use when iam fishing the matches as cannot stand to see thease fish not landded.then its up the person what he does with the fish,[keep or put back] plus it cost me money not getting the fish.:wiggle:

hi berty bass, dave had a nice one 2lb 15oz, billy had one of about 2lb, carpy knights lost a beasty cod, and bloke next to me had a small one theres the odd one down shoreham aswell :fishing:
