of to mexico on christmas day, to tulum mayan riveara. can anyone give me any info on local beach marks and what to expect. any advice realy apreceated, thanks andy.

Have a quick look at Lure Lobber's thread this summer from Playacar, which isn't far up the coast. I didn't fish Tulum when I was there but it looked broadly similar to Playacar but with a bit more surf inshore, suggesting that the reef isn't quite so close in.
What kind of gear will you be bringing?
