Worthings next match is on Friday 21st December , 7pm to 11pm, £10 to enter.
There is a chance the match which is scheduled to be on the pier could be moved to West Worthing beaches. This depends on the weather and if the organisers agree. The concern with the pier that night is the nightclub has reopened.
Will let you know on here if the venue changes.
How is the Pier fishing at the moment?

Were lots of reasonable sized whiting at the start of the week now its just flounders mainly.
I expect the whitting where in the dirty water, now its cleared out abit teh codling and Whitting have gone with it

pete had 12 flounders today, some looking towards the 2lb end. the odd one was undersize, he had them all on smelly blacks and kings.
Any news on venue yet? Like you, Schuey, I reckon the beach between Heene Road and Grand Avenue is a better bet than the distractions of loads of drunken christmas clubbers on the pier.

At the moment its looking like West Worthing beach like you say ... The Happyshopkeeper caught more than just a few fish sunday in the SAS match ... he caught the Flu bug as well as is currently tucked up in bed so cant get full confirmation yet ...

Does this mean "no trainers or workclothes" for all future Worthing matches......?? Sussex Schu reeking of Brute instead of lug and squid? Happy Shopkeeper trimming his moustache before every pier match?
I will see you guys in the New year. Firdays match coincides with the motehr in law landing at Gatwick airport........:(

Expect it will be mainly flounders, maybe a few ling, odd whiting or small chance of a codling.

was thinking of fishing this one being as i had a bit of luck on sunday but unfortunately im not going to get time to get bait and im going for my works Christmas drink that after so not sure i'll be up for sitting on the beach for a few hours.
Good luck to all who turn up and fingers crossed there will be a few fish for you.

Schuey must be among the hot favourites for Friday night - he's got a big bucket brimming with prime white rag while the likes of me will have to make do with week old washed out lug and a few week old reds. He'll also be looking for some kind of consolation after his beloved Liverpoo's defeat last night at Stamford Bridge. Is the Happy Shopkeeper likely to rise from his sick bed?

Won't work Mr Schu. Its dabs that like old smelly bait. You know as well as I do that those whites are top quality. You are definitely favourite but I do now have some stonking great lug courtesy of Mesito, some nice reds courtesy of BloatedCod and some even nicer fresh dug reds courtesy of me, bad back and all.

Well done to Snowy who somehow managed to catch another bass, this time of 6lb+ (he caught one of 5lb at EP Sunday in a match) and 5 flounders to win with 10lb ish.
Yeti was 2nd with 7 flounders and had the best flat of over 1lb and I was 3rd with 7 flounders as well.
Happyshopkeeper was 4th with 4 flounders, billy was 5th with 3 flounders. Rest all had one or two flounders but Mark_S did find a couple of Rockling to go with his 2 flats.

it was most probally the same fish from last weekend !!!! probally just fattened up with a few six ounce leads... always thought he was a bit like you mr schu !!!! a bit dodgy !!!!!!:nonono::nonono::nonono:

weighing in monkfish this time of year ... when we all no you only catch um during the summer months around here would of been a blatent cheat!!!!! but the old six ounce lead trick is by far a winner ... as youve found out twice in two weeks...... mind you dont try pulling it tommorow at eastbourne ... youll get caught out ... illl grass you up unless we go 50/50:icecream::icecream:
