to this one having read Tinker's report . have we sorted out transport and bait who's getting what and who's driving who. Come on people I really am looking forward to this one now even if Rockling insists on giving me false bites and trying to wind me up and Mucus (?) keeps calling me REG:fishing1:

All you need is fishbaits..Mack,blueys,squid,Sandeel?..whatever..U p to you if you want to bother with worm
Wire traces are a must....what i tend to do it,4-5ft of 80lb hooklength,,with about 4inches or wire on the end...5/0-8/0 strong sharp hooks..

Im gutted i can't come,But with the risk to my Unborn and herself,i simply could never live with it,,if i was out on a boat lobbing scotch eggs at P4 and somthing terrible happened at home..And as time goes on through her pregnancy,the risk of a Massive heamorrage(spelling)..is a Very real possibility..As long as i'm here,i can deal with it safely and hopefully without problems..

RIGHT THEN ! PAINTING IS FINISHED! Weather looking ok for Saturday! Been out the garage today and sorted out what rods and reels I shall be taking. Have decided on my Penn 20-30lbs class boat rod matched with Penn 320 GTI multiplier. (I Won this setup years ago and have only used once or twice) Have just ordered some 30lb braid from veals to go on it. Also taking a 12lb class boat rod matched with my ABU 6500 with lever drag ( This is a very sexy reel)
Right then have seen the traces Ken has made and will be doing something similar(not quite so fancy on the pennel part though mate)
Just out of interest exactly where is the boat leaving from ? And times would be good. Anybody sorting out lifts etc?

Even though im not going..i will sort out the times etc..later in the week...And will let you all know accordingly..
You will Be sailing from Barry..
Take 1 rod..AS too many rods clutter up the deck,and you can only fish one rod anyways,with 10 of you on board..

Just done another weather check and it is looking very good, should make the oof shore marks.
Ive Spoken to Dave,and if the Current forcast is correct..This will be CANCELLED!
16MPH Gusting to 40MPH...No good for the spurs..
Going to wait until tomorrow Midday to make a decision..
Dave has said.If it IS off on Saturday..
He will take you out SUNDAY evening from 4pm-Midnight If you want..The option is there..

I have just been through shipping forecast and it paints a slightly different picture. Winds 16mph gusting 27mph force 6 to 7.
Wind guru is also on a change of mind:
Wind speeds up to 22 knots = 27.5 mph steady for most of the day
Got to say it looks less than promising, sad part is Sunday is looking very good all round.

This is going to be a goodun,just after I read Marcus's text,walking down Queen Street in Cardiff,the wind caught the skirt of the young lady in front of me and lifted it up to her waist!I didn't realise young women still wore suspenders and stockings!That must be a sign.

Ken I'm off to Porthkerry,it's a reliable early season bass/codling mark with big baits scoring.My best April day there involved me crossing swords with 6 codling(2-4lb),2 bass 5.4lb,3.13lb and a 12lb conger!(2004).All on whole squid or double peeler.
