is there a difference between shop sweetcorn and fishing sweetcorn

hi as the tittle says,, whats the different between shop bought sweetcorn and fishing shop bought sweetcorn.........

Not that i'm aware of m8. The only thing that does change is maze, that stuff is tougher.

Just the price IMO. Much cheaper from a Supermarket, and you can flavour/colour it if you want too.

you can buy flavoured or coloured from tackle shops,i personally just use supermarket tins! Agree with korma!

I used to use the tinned cheap as chips sweetcorn for loosefeed or mixed with groundbait, and a piece of corn from a corn cob on the hook, stayed on the hook much better.

Food colouring changes the colour easily if needed, adding flavours like brasem is good for the bream. ;)

Not much difference in the tins really,only the tackle shop stuff will have been bought as too firm for normal canning,(not fit for humans),flavoured in all sorts of wierd and wonderfull kinds of chemicals,then labled,and put on the shelf at an idiotic price.....

As a rule for me,corn is just used as it comes,it doesn't need flavourings,colours,etc......

I buy a tray full of it from the local Lidl,and it lasts me ages,depending on where I am fishing,and how much is used...but normally a tin will do me a match......

Bulk a tin out with a couple of pints of pellets,or Hemp,because they are two good combos.........

soaking supermarket sweetcorn in molasses for 24hrs works well for carp and bream.mix it with silver x groundbait and it smells good enough to eat.:thumbs:

reccomend to you what i tell all my customers use the supermarket stuff to feed buy 1 can for the hook it has more kernell in it that you can hook & of course you can choose your flavour .

curry flavour corn 4 carp with a fake corn on the hook or hair, and pineapple for tench and bream!! they love it!!
