Make your own fish smoker for two quid!
Excellent DIY fish smoker
I really couldn’t justify paying 30 + quid for a metal box to smoke my fish! So I went to carboot and picked up an old enamel baking dish with lid for 50p
and an ex army surplus hexamine burner for £1.50
Went home used an old grill rack cut down to size, a bit of charcoal or some wood chips and hey presto, a superb little fish/food smoker…..and at that price you can afford to chuck it away when it has been well used!!!!
I have since tried it, soaking wood chips in amaretto (almond liquor) to smoke a bream…yummy whole 3lb bream smoked to perfection in 20 minutes.

Thanks Crutchless and Salar for the info. I've been thinking of getting a smoker for ages and you've both just saved me a fortune!
