With Sea Ace tipping isn't compulsory as they pay their staff proper wages, unlike some I've heard of who don't pay, they live on tips and fish. I did tip, it was in S.A. Rands, It was probably about 20 but not sure now.

Of course I WANT to, but funds will not be sufficient again this year, sadly. I would definately make it a yearly event if I could afford it. Unless you need someone to help carry your cocktail glasses in the evening?

Surely you can make it tax deductable, testing the Dvice as a groundbait holder.

Just back from our latest trip to Namibia and yet again we had an excellent time.

The one thing you can't guarantee is the weather and conditions were far from ideal but if you use the best guides they will still find you fish.

I landed 5 bronzies to 250lb as well as spotted gulley sharks to 70lb+, a 75lb cow shark, smoothhounds to 25lb, sandsharks, kob, eagle rays etc etc

Another lad from the Isle of Man, Lee Graham, came with us for the first time and he caught some magnificent fish including a 285lb bronzie, a kob (like a bass) of 22lb and to top it all a 45lb+ common smoothound (British record is 28lb !).

Pictures of Lee's specimens are below :

The 285lb Bronze Whaler Shark :

    A 22lb Kob :

    That huge 45lb+ smoothie :

Can't wait til February when I'm off there again

Dale, yes that picture was taken at Long Beach just south of Swakopmund.

dabcatcher, if Syd learned to face the right way when fighting the sharks he might be able to pull a few more in

i was having a chat to him about it last night. he said it was to make those traveling towards you on the beach think he was just snagged and not hooked into a fish.
