lets not forget the mullet . common eels , and I know the Hampshire Avon around Christchurch can provide a right mix of species with roach etc being caught along side several different types of sea fish. The Baltic sea is home to pike and perch as well as herring and other sea fish.

iv caught mullet, flounder, plaice and bass all in fresh water, not exactly 873458903745 miles up rivers lol but a fair way up
Even when i catch an impressive fish, why do i still feel the need to exagerate?

I have caught flounder 20 to 25 miles and 2 or 3 locks up the river Bann from the sea.
Apparently they are also caught regularly on commercial eel lines in Lough neagh.
