yep you've missed it.
have a look at their website and see the stamp of fish that have been getting caught.
just a shame that every man and his dug is fishing it now.
like fishing in sauchiehall st

Kenny, Last weekend, there were 9 guys there from my local Fly club...(Bonnybridge actually)...Two fish were caught, it was the same with almost the other 30?? boats that were out, it was dreadful. So much so, that the owner/manager offered them a free day on the Sunday..
The guys did see some belters of fish swirling tho...and my bro in law, had a Pike at least 15lbs to the boat, while fishing a tiny Buzzer on 6lb leader..
He was told to land it, and get it into the Fish of the Week...but no, he released it at the side of the boat...
They are going back later on in the season..may I think, but they all reckoned it was far too early to go there ...mid to late April is the usual trip, when we generally have some great catches.
Cheers.

all the fishing has been poor the past week or so on bute including fad. fad is best fly fishing for troot at the start of the season and late on. zonkers fritz's and the likes gave me the best catch of opening day last season with 9 fish and the closest to me was a chap wi 2 fish and i'm a relative amateur at fly fishing!!!. as for pike the best time of year i have found is oct-feb then may time after spawning. i stopped fishing fad in the height of the summer for pike due to me experiencing fish struggling to go back. good on the man tho for no keeping his fish out of the water any longer to get a photo for the "joke of the week".
