Did not realize that one of the moderators was a UK shore record holder…..Brand is the lucky sod that caught the cod of 44lb 8oz back in 1966.

According to my book it’s the 3rd oldest shore record….

Dab 2lb 8oz (1936)
Spurdog 16lb 12oz (1964)

Backlash on the S/E forum is the Stingray record holder (59lb 12oz…2003)

Who else is a record holder?

i am.. for the most disappointing fishing trips (2007) and for the amount of blanks in one season.. (2006).

as far as i know i havent been beaten

the guy who holds the record for it.. he probably hunts the fisherman preying on breaking the record and he is swimming about in the sea.. and when he see's its a monster dab.. ( just a little bit smaller then jaws) he chops the line and poor old fisherman cries bout the 1 that got away.. and he record holder still smug in victory
