Cogden beach dorset
Hi all, has anyone fished Cogden recently? (despite the weather)
Does anyone no if any plaice have shown up recently?

No I haven't but....
Could you clarify that Cogden IS the beach where you leave your vehicle at the top of the field in a bit of a parking area, then trudge down to the beach?
It's on the right a bit before West Bex'?

Bit of a schlepp back up to the car but it can prioduce the goods, so can be worth the effort

gonna need a good spell of calm weather to see a good show of plaice maybe next week when the calm spell is meant to come but i'd say we need at least a couple of weeks of the calm stuff ,,but you can never be sure,,,,,,but not heard of any yet mate,,

I don't think I would find fishing there enjoyable, thinking the old van was miles away. I realise you cannot see the vehicles 99% of the time you are fishing, I guess it's just me! ! ! Tony.

Thats why I love Cogden so much. Very few people can be bothered to make the five minute walk down to the beach. Personally I would rather struggle up the hill with a full bag of fish than step off the beach into my car with an empty bag. Besides after being sat on the beach for severel hours, the walk burns off some of the calories from all the chocolate I've eaten!

only fished cogden 3 times now and its a beautiful spot to fish .when theres 2 of you walking back up hill you dont notice it really before you know your up the top

My son and I fished there last Saturday lots of pout and dog fish he baged 8 pout and I got 5 dog and 2 pout, he's 10 and loved beating his dad who has been fishing for years
