    Barcombe Reservoir

    Can anyone tell me if barcombe reservoir is still closed for trout fishing?

    codling, dogfish, channel whiting, pout whiting, silver eel, rockling, mackerel. Oh, and a crab....

    As far as I know it was closed to anglers due to falling ticket sales and the need to spend money on upgrading the safety issues.

    Arlington is still open and fishing well, so the grapevine tells me.

    I think the algae problem was also an issue. Shame, the rainbows in there were proper agressive fry feeders! There was local rumour of some cracking course fish in there as well. Fish from there were distinctly "earthy" to eat though.
