Perch Help ????
hi i want to catch my first ever perch
but im not sure on tactics , methods and what bait to use
....
any information would be appreciated thanks
.....
fish for 2008 ....
coarse
carp,roach,rudd,bream,tench,perch,eel..<
sea
flounder,whiting,mackeral,pollack...
river
brown trout, eel <
....
as long as ive got a line in the water im happy

if you have a canal local to you try spinning with a small mepps or for more fun try fly fishing for them,great sport!!

Floated worm or maggot. Ledgered worm or maggot. Small lures. Fish baits. All of these will catch you a perch.

Float fish worm near the bottom, over fishy groundbait laced with chopped worm and maggots. Fish barbless and take a disgorger, as perch often swallow hooks.

i fish for perch just by using a wee rolling ledger and slowly bump my bait back towards me. works very well for me.
2008 species list: pollack, saithe, whiting, pike, dogfish, spurdog, thornback ray, pouting, perch, brown trout, roach, mackerel, blenny, ballan wrasse, cod, goldsinny wrasse
