Puerto Aventuras/Riviera maya Mexico
Hi. Im off to the Riviera Maya area of Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, in June. Just wondering if anyone has been before and can advise me on any decent areas to fish plugs from the shore. Likely catches and sizes from shore?
Cheers. Ben

Ben,
Stick "Puerto Aventuras" into the Search Forums box and Search all Posts. Some of my old posts are there. My signature sailfish is from PA and there are loads of barracuda around.

I already have on the fly/plugs forum ... not taking that tiddly little Exage are you?
Only joking ... enjoy it. The marlin/sailfish run down the Cozumel channel begins soon and even though it's not what it used to be apparently (but then, what is?) it's still a chance to catch fish others dream about!

Hi Ben
I will be doing a bit of shore fishing round about that coastline (Cancun) in May/beginning of June, I'm sure I can get some internet access and let you know how well or badly I get on.
I have got myself some poppers, shallow divers, tube lures (for the barracuda) and some jellies with lead heads.
I will be trying them in the ocean and at the Nichipute Lagoon, have heard the entrances to the lagoon can be quite good..
