    Cool Glasgow Area Help!

Will be down in glasgow, for a few days shortly and will be taking some fishing gear, any idea's to some marks in or around Glasgow, Loch Long, Perth, Edinburgh area and what baits, rigs to use?
Or will i be better off just keep heading up the west coast from Loch Long.
    Thanks.

More in hope than expectation, I fished the flood at Loch Long last week with my good lady wife.

Four standard bait rods (2 long, 2 short), one conger rod in close and two spinning rods out with tobies, redgills and rubber sandeels yielded precisely zero bites! Baits were fresh rag, frozen mackie/squid/sandeel.

Unless anyone else can post up a decent and recent result for Loch Long, I'd be inclined to keep heading north and strike out for Loch Fyne or Loch Etive.

I'm not sure if it's a sea-fishing recommendation you're looking for though (Loch Long being a sea loch) as this thread is in the Carp & Coarse Forum. Loch Lomond used to have a good name for pike and I fished the River Endrick as a boy (not yesterday!) and got good results with pike, perch and eels.

Maybe if you re-posted your request in the Scotland Forum, you'd get more of a response? Just a suggestion!
It's PondLife, Jim. But not as we know it...
Species 2012: He-haw as I haven't managed to get out yet!

    Thumbs up

    Cheers.
Got a post in both, got to go to glasgow was wondering how it was fishing, so i only have to take one set of gear instead of two and travel light. Usually pop in by loch long and the pit stop when i'm down that way.
Thanks for the info, will look into that place at Bearsden.
