Weirdest (non fish!) thing you have pulled in?
Whats the weirdest / daftest or just wrong thing you have pulled in or seen pulled in fishing?
I've pulled in:
A carrier bag full of shingle (hooked by the handles somehow!) .... felt like the fish of a lifetime..
A whole small tree, about 6- 7 foot tall with root ball!
I also cast out once from abbotsbury with just a weight (testing a new rod) and pulled in 3 rigs wrapped around it!
I've seen 2 seagulls caught too... although once the anglers had them I think the seagull caught them a bit too!
What have you seen / pulled in?

once pulled up a bucket full of lead weights whilst fishing out of weymouth!
My brother in law thought it woul be fun to connect it to my mainline with a length of line and link swivel when I wasn't looking.
Hardest fight I ever had my arms were hanging off by the time it surfaced.

A 2feet long section of lead pipe and an engineering brick both about a mile off Old Harry.Almost forget until some kind person reminded me ,a 2feet tall toy teddy bear from the shore at Worbarrow Bay during a club comp.

I once went carp fishing and got snapped of on 15lb line after a 20mins play. the following week i went back fished the same spot after the elusive beast, during the session i hooked a snag and pulled in my float lost the previous session and many other all attached to the same branch!
bugger of a fish and twigged (no pu intended) that he could grab a bite and dive for cover under this branch!
Never got him to this day!
