Some years ago a thread did develop on this forum regarding Praia do Forte. Click on this link - http://www.worldseafishing.com/forum...Praia+Do+Forte - to view it. The thread does 'wander' a bit from Brazil and some other shore-based venues, but it's well worth reading. You'll also find from the comments that several have visited the area. If they don't respond to your enquiry it might well be worth sending them a Private Message. Click on their name in the box to the left of the text box and that will be one of the options revealed.
Another forum always worth searching is that on http://www.tripadvisor.com.
Perhaps when you're back you could post a report of your experiences? Good or bad it helps others visiting the same area.

I have just come back from Natal. I actually go there quite regularly.
I usually fish the coast south of natal for Snook.
Snook are usually found near river outlets to the sea, so these areas are worth a try especially with live prawns.
From the beach, there are a variety of species like I believe are called drum, pampo, stingrays and lots of catfish which can grow quite large.
Try to hit an incoming tide in the evening to have a better chance of the larger fish. Baits are usually prawn but fish fillet can sort out the larger fish, locals will always tell you to use small hooks and baits, but with the bigger baits it's more of a waiting game.
Praia do forte has a reef close in which has lot of small groupers and morays, just off the reef you can see the big fish chase the shoal fish in the evening, problem is getting to them, ask a local to take you there but persuation of money and cast to the frenzies, you will need either a wire trace or thick mono!
Good luck
