Best local patch
Just wondered who believes that there local shore angling patch is consistently the best in the UK for year round fishing with a good variety of species?
Mine (Blackpool area) certainly isn't and should I ever get the chance to retire somewhere that is, then where would be best?
I appreciate that this is going to be highly debatable and subjective, but wondered if a clear leader may indeed emerge.

for shore it is North devon, we can see 6-8 species in a session from some places, and have great bass and ray fishing, tope from the shore codling show in the winter.
i do not believe there is a better all round place anywhere, scenery is fantastic too.
i have to be honest and say i have only fished the south coast southampton area, portland and weymouth chesil etc. blackwater/crouch estuary in the south east. so only have those to compare it against.
31/2 moths into the year and most of our crew has already hit 15-16 different species.something good to die for to make it beautiful to live!!

For the variety of marks it provides, Cardigan bay is a top place.

Anglesey must be up there Phil
a hell of a lot of coast line to hit within 20 mins of driving where ever you are on the island. The species possible is outstanding it would give the southern counties a run for there money

Well it would appear that the South West and Welsh coasts are joint favourites at the minute, with perhaps Ireland a late runner!
Are there to be no entries from the South, South East, North East, North West (of course not, I'm here!) , Scotland, Isle of Man & Jersey!!!!
Come on lads, root for your area.

Holland? from Essex. Have you considered entering any tournament casting competitions?
Anyway, some good species there, so can't be bad at all.
