fishing magazines?
bet your'e all thinking, oh no not another rant about mags. but no it isnt...
im just wondering why the mags release the issues a month early. for instance, ive got the may tsf just now? in aprill. and they must have been writing it in feb/march, so why do they call it the may issue? not a rant or whatever, im just curious?

I think each publisher was trying to be the first with each months edition hitting the stands.
Over a few years and it has become meaningless. As you say - how can the editions be topical to the month being covered?
One of my (few) articles was published by Sea Angler 18 months after the actual fishing trip. Not even at the right time of year to be helpful to anyone fishing the same area.
Off topic - I have not bought so many angling mags this year. But Total Sea Fishing this month seems quite good.

good point it saves you buying a tide table as you just camera phone the tables in the mag and put back on shelf in tescos etc

? Why not just use an online tide table and save the petrol money to tesco's
