    Flattie ID?

OK folks here is the next one. Flounder or plaice? The mouth seemed weird for a flounder and the spots are rather vivid too.

Over to you - see attached pix!

i would go with a flounder. i have always found the plaice spots to be more even and circular and usually have a dark edge to them.

the orange markings on that fish dont have any regular patern to them.

Flounder. The lateral line is straight, dead giveaway. On a plaice it curves slightly around the gill covers, on a dab it curves right around.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, swims like a duck and goes 'Quack' it's probably a duck. Or if you're into conspiracy theories it's a chicken.

flounder as above, with the lateral line
There's plenty of fish in the sea, but until I catch one, I'm stuck here just holding my rod.
