Hopetoun Pinkies n Nannys
Mate dragged me away from the beaches today to catch some pink snapper, nannagai (red snapper), queen snapper & breaksea cod (blackass).
What a day; bimbling around in a 4m runaround 5kms off the coast of Fitzgerald National Park. Sea was flat as a tack for a change (hence getting out wide in a little boat...). Knackered now but.
Nice start to my weeks R&R. Off to Albany tommorrow (Kalgan River & Oyster Harbour) for a couple of days on a houseboat. Bream & mulloway (hopefully..).Good things come to those who bait......

nice fish there (good eaters too) - you gotta nail a big mulloway on a lure for me though when you head to Albany
want any lures / tackle sending over let me know (the misses still needs to resend that bl00dy xmas pressie lol - lucky it wasnt mince pies or a ready meal like last time mind)

Great eating fish.... Had some of the pinkies sliced up as sushi yesterday afternoon. 3 of us ate a whole side with nothing more than wasabi, pickled ginger n soy. Cant get fresher eh. Then a couple of naany fillets for tea.
Will certainly be going for the croakers on lures. Unlikely to get any monsters in the river, but you never know. Suppose thats why we all go fishing innnit. You never know.Good things come to those who bait......
