Chapel Point meet late May bank holiday
Gents
I'm going to try to get a few together for another meet, this time at Chapel Point (Chapel St. Leonards).
Need to decide on a specific day, but it will be the next May Bank Holiday weekend.
Hoping for a bit of a Bass and Smoothie bash, so I'm open to suggestions to day and time. I guess that a first-light tide would be the best time for the silver bars.
Feedback welcomed.
Cheers

2008 Species: Starry Smut, Bass, Plaice, Flounder, Dab, Mackie, Weaver, Whiting, 9lb Cod

Hi All,
First post on here, hope it helps!
I was thinking of joining you guys at Chapel on the BH weekend.
Sat Tide is at 07:45 at Skeggy, so a little before at chapel, and first light is at ~06:55
Sunday tide is at 08:13 at skeggy and first light is at ~06.53.
Monday tide is at 08:39 and first light at ~06:50.
I can fish either Sat or Sun, but Sat would be favourite for me.
What bait do you normally use and where do you get it from?
Hope someone can join me?
Thanks
Ollie

Hi Rob & Selbs
Ta for the tide info Selbs & welcome to the site!
I'm thinking a dawn session in the hope of some Bass on the Saturday.
Meet at 06:00 at CP cafe car park & go from there?
There you go, made the decision: Bank Holiday Saturday at Chapel Point cafe car park at 06:00 AM.
Any other takers?
Cheers

Oh, Ollie, forgot to say about the baits!
Fresh peeler crab is always going to be favourite for the Smoothounds, and same for Bass.
They both will take fresh squid, however, and bass will take fresh lug/ragworm.
No point in taking any plugging gear as the water is always too coloured.
Above worm and crab baits can be mail ordered from www.bandtc.co.uk
You can also order fresh lug (in advance is always better) from Fishing Tackle 4 U, in Ingoldmells village. Telephone number: 01754 874950.
Cheers
