Never fished there but do you not find that the ebb fishes better on these marks? How much of the rocks get covered over high? Is it deep water?
Any pollack around these marks, whats the tactics for the wrasse, floating or bottom fishing. Would it be worth taking a few jellies along.
Just a suggestion but what about 3 - 9pm. You know the mark so i'll go with what you say.
But yeah that should be ok.

martyboy; will be good to see you there and all that go
the pic are at low tide. there for about 80% of the rock will be covered at high tide. in pic 1/2, pic 3/4 is just like fishing off the end of the pier as like we did as a loon pic 5 is the most furthest point to the eye and another 10/15 min walk not be out there but reckon that the spot for pollack
as when fishing for wrasse i find that she fishes well 4 hours before high and 3 hours after.
no more than a 20' cast, any more than that your in the kelp, mostly 5' cast
water depth 8 to 15 feet
fishing float/bottom ( bottom trace i use is 5"/9" snood with 2 1/2' /3' drop 3/2oz weight, hook size 0/1 1 and 2)
main bait for me is lug but others will catch
never have i tried the jellies
fishing time 3-9 makes it a late getting home for those who have travelled far
hope this helps ( all input welcome)Last edited by udderman; 19-05-2008 at 10:10. Reason: add on

If theres pollack about then theres no reason why they wont take rag or macky baits on the float. But yeah give though times a shot and hope for weather like in your pics. Looks a stunning mark and looking forward to it.
May fish on if its all going well.
Definatly up for that providing theres no suprises along the way.

direction and parking
direction A92
from the south after kineff take the second right
from the north after crawton take the second left
this is the main junction into catterline it has telephone exchange on the right and layby and recycling bins on the left
you've found the junction > second lot of houses turn left > over small bridge turn right > follow road to harbour
parking
if there is a large turn out parking will be tight so may i suggest that the first to arrive park on the pier it will take 6/7 cars the main car park will take 8/10 cars a long as we park tight together may i also suggest that drivers make a (gone fishing ) sign to put in their window so other anglers can park tight to other cars with confidence
please consider other none angling public when parking
the last pic is the harbour at low tiedLast edited by udderman; 13-06-2008 at 21:39. Reason: add on
